Geese

The Pluscarden Poultry Enterprise has recently expanded, to include now 6 beautiful Emden geese: 5 female geese and 1 gander.
These geese are well used to human interaction, so they are neither too shy, nor (so far) at all aggressive.
Their main task, or job description, for now, is to mow the lawn. Our pictures show them in the East side of the garden, with the mediaeval enclosure wall on two sides, and lines of fruit trees, now all picked, and even in process of shedding leaves.
Of course we also look forward to goose eggs when they arrive, and hopefully also to nice Emden goslings.
Doubtless when the time comes other uses for goose will occur: but certainly for now these creatures have nothing to fear from the approach of Christmas.
