Pluscarden Abbey was happy to welcome a group from "YouCan" ("Young Catholic Adults Network") once again for a weekend retreat, 30 October - 1 November 2026.
The motto of YouCan is: "No one should practice their Faith alone!"
Yet not infrequently young Catholics in the age range 18 - 35 can find themselves feeling somewhat isolated and unsupported.
Hence the network!
YouCan ensures a regular and wholesome contact among interested young Catholics through social media, especially Whatsapp and Instagram. But also: regional groups are formed, with regular meetings, regular input, regular retreats and regular pilgrimages. In particular there is a desire to maintain contact with Benedictine monasteries, which are often chosen as places for YouCan retreats or meetings.
Our photo shows this year's Pluscarden group on All Saints Day, having just heard a talk on the meaning of the feast, and being just about to partake of a good Sunday lunch!
