Cancellation of the Pentecost Lectures

Because of the ongoing Covid-19 crisis, with regret we have to announce the cancellation of our 2020 Pentecost Lectures.

The Pentecost lectures were an initiative of Abbot Hugh, which Abbot Anselm has willingly continued. The first lectures, by Fr. Aidan Nichols O.P., were given in 1995. So our lectures this year would have been the 25th anniversary, or the 26th set of lectures in the series. We hope that in some future year we will be able to invite Dr. Christopher Ruddy again, so that he can still come and give us what he had prepared for this year.

Next year's lecturer is already booked: the very well known Dominican theologian Fr. Thomas Joseph White O.P.

Please God by then some effective means of countering the coronavirus will have been found, and we can all meet safely again, for our own benefit and for God's glory.
