Summer Oblate Residential Retreat 31st July - 3rd August 2026

This year the Summer Oblate Residential Retreat was preached by the Very Reverend Ann Catherine Swailes OP, Prioress of the Dominican Convent in Cambridge.
Sr. Ann's title was ‘Learn to love and leave all other: some Medieval (-ish) musings on the Great Commandment’.

A most successful and well-attended Summer retreat took place at the Abbey from 2nd to 5th August this year 2025 (a month later than last to catch the higher temperatures!)

Sister Tamsin Geach OP gave the Retreat---three talks over two days bracketed by the arrivals day and departures day-- and Storm Floris!

Oblate Weekend August 2023 - Bishop Richard's Summer Talks 2023

Once again the Abbey hosted a special weekend for Oblates, from Friday 11th to Monday 14th August. Also once again Bishop Richard Moth, who is a Pluscarden Oblate, gave a series of talks for those attending. Bishop Richard has been coming to Pluscarden very regularly and faithfully since he was a teenage seminarian.
