Three new publications available

Friends of Pluscarden will be glad to know of three new publications, all highly recommendable, and all translated from the French original by our own Fr. Giles.

The first two, signalled below, are Catholic Truth Society pamphlets. Their author was the recently deceased former Abbot of Fleury - Saint Benoit-sur-Loire - in France. His spiritual conferences have been extremely popular in France: Fr. Giles has done a service to the English speaking world by making them available in English.

Then there is what is now widely regarded as a classic work, the book length "Christian Asceticism" by Dom Anselm Stolz OSB. Dom Anselm died in Rome in 1942. Although a native German speaker, he wrote this book in French: delivering it as a series of lectures at Chevetogne in 1939.

"Christian Asceticism" was reviewed in our magazine "Pluscarden Benedictines", Number 196, Advent 2021, pp. 29-32.

These three works may be purchased in the normal way, or else through our own shop.
