Previewed in the last issue of this magazine, the Pluscarden Abbey Oblate Handbook has now been published, in both paperback and hard back. The paperback edition costs £6.99 and the hard back £9.99, plus postage and packing. Although intended mainly for Oblates of Pluscarden, it is hoped that the book may be of interest to others. It contains a range of chapters on the history of Pluscarden; the history of the Subiaco Cassinese Congregation; on St Benedict, his Holy Rule; Oblate Patrons; the Divine Office; Lectio Divina; the Chapter Calendar and much more. The handbook is dedicated to the late and much loved Dom Maurus Deegan, the first Oblate Master at Pluscarden.
