Fr. Camillus (Peter) Warner, monk of our community, who died peacefully in Dr. Gray’s Hospital, Elgin, on Monday 31st August, 2009. He was in the 86th year of his age, the 57th year of his monastic profession and the 50th year of his priesthood.

Our oldest and most senior professed monk, Fr. Camillus served the community in many valuable roles; but he will be chiefly remembered as guest master, bringing the presence of God into the lives of many hundreds of people whom he made welcome over the years.

His funeral took place in the Abbey church on Saturday 5th September.
